When I separated from my husband in 2018, nothing could prepare me for what it was like. Navigating a high conflict divorce, parenting three children, challenging parenting dynamics, the transition to working full time and the pressures and complexities of mediation, arbitration and legal systems was complex, to say the least. This process challenged everything I thought I knew and tested the resources, supports, and beliefs I had around every part of my life, community and the legal system. It was a hard lesson and while it is not one I wish upon anyone, I recognize that it is something many women will face.  

The reality is that there is no road map (until now!). No guide on how to navigate the journey (until now!). Add to this, finite resources, emotional upheaval, and uncertainty surrounding every facet of your life.  The stakes are high and the vulnerability you experience can feel crippling.

The biggest mistake I made was thinking that I had a plan by hiring a lawyer and handing over a huge retainer. There is so much more to this process and so many considerations around hiring a lawyer and building communication, financial and support system strategies that NO ONE was talking about! I want to change how women approach their divorce journey.

When I started my own journey through separation and divorce I had no idea that it would become such a passion project for me. That it would lead me to help close friends navigate theirs and then personal referrals that connected me to others in the same position. I feel grateful to use my skills, education, personal and professional experience to support and empower other women along this journey and ultimately led me to develop this workshop and consulting business.

I had the gift of not only a critical support system of friends, but also a dear friend and advocate who ultimately helped me negotiate my divorce in a very unconventional way. His support, efforts and kindness literally changed my life.

This is my way of giving back to the ones who gave me my freedom. Who let me fall apart. Who advocated, fought for me and supported me in ways I now see as life changing. This is WHY I created this masterclass, workshop and consulting business.
